Miner Samarco plans to ship multiple iron ore pellet cargoes in January

London—Brazilian iron ore producer Samarco plans to ship at least four vessels in January as iron ore pellet shipments resumed this month, benefiting from strong demand, according to the company. Samarco, owned jointly by BHP and Vale, expects to load an additional 150,000 mt of iron ore pellets between Jan. 14-24 into three vessels, after loading 75,000 mt of pellets into the AM Express bound for Europe and scheduled to complete late Jan 11, according to its website.
