Houston—Arch Resources sold 14.01 million st of coal in the first quarter of 2021, down 11.5% from 15.83 million st in Q4 2020 and 16.1% lower than the 16.7 million st sold in the year-ago quarter, the company said in its quarterly earnings report April 22. The St. Louis-based producer reported a cash margin per ton of $3.82/st on its coal sales, up from $1.82/st in Q4 and $2.34/st in the year-ago quarter.
