Iron ore prices edge higher on easing demand concerns

Singapore—Seaborne iron ore prices rebounded April 23 on a procurement preference for medium-grade fines. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $185.10/ dry mt CFR North China on April 23, up $1.50/dmt from April 22, in line with tradable levels. Premiums and discounts for May-loading mainstream mediumgrade fines stabilized on the back of better cost competitiveness compared with high-grade fines and higher production efficiency against low-grade fines, market sources said.
