London—Atlantic iron ore contract pellet premiums for May were little changed, tracking further second-quarter settlements in Europe, with stronger pricing for high-grade iron ore products achieved on higher steel margins. The Platts May Atlantic contract blast furnace pellet premium edged $1 lower on month to $65/dry mt for 65% Fe pellets, based on a 62% Fe IODEX basis. The premium followed further settlements levels in Europe reported for pellets, including high-grade, low silica pellets. May's assessment factors in a $20/mt increase from March’s assessed premium.
