Malaysia reviews antidumping duties on CRC from China, S Korea, Vietnam

Singapore—Malaysia has started a sunset review of antidumping duties imposed on cold-rolled coils from China, South Korea and Vietnam, a notice in a government gazette showed on April 12. Current CRC tariffs have been in place for five years starting from May 24, 2016, and are due to expire on May 23, 2021. The review comes after the Ministry of International Trade and Industry received a request from Mycron Steel, a local producer of alloy and non-alloy CRC, which alleged that 0.20 mm to 2.60 mm thick CRC with a width of between 700 mm and 1,300 mm are being dumped in the local market.
