Shell Notches Another Perdido Discovery

Royal Dutch Shell has made a new “significant” oil discovery at its Leopard prospect in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, adding momentum to the supermajor’s plans to sanction fresh development in the Perdido Fold Belt later this year. Shell said its Leopard well, drilled last year, encountered more than 600 feet of net oil pay “at multiple levels” (OD Jun.11’20).
