Venezuela Output on Growth Track in 2021

Venezuela’s oil production looks set to grow in 2021 for the first time in seven years despite ongoing US sanctions, although estimates of the size of the recovery vary greatly. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro recently set an ambitious goal for the country’s crude output to rise to 1.5 million b/d in 2021 — roughly triple its current estimated production (OD Jan.13’21).
