Turbines Converted to Gas

Canadian electric utility Capital Power has purchased two Mitsubishi natural gas-fired turbines to repower its combined-cycle plants in Alberta as the province seeks to reduce its carbon emissions. Capital Power will use the M501JAC turbines in its Genesee Units 1 and 2 as it converts to gas from coal-fired generation.
