Venture Global Plans Fourth US Export Terminal

Budding US LNG producer Venture Global has requested to enter into the pre-filing process with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC)for its fourth LNG export terminal.The latest project,dubbed CP2 LNG,would have the capacity to produce up to 24 million tons of LNG per year(3.4 billion cubic feet per day),and is slated to have an associated 87.5 mile pipeline.The plant is to be located in Cameron Parish,Louisiana,the same location where Venture Global's first LNG terminal Calcasieu Pass is under construction(NGW May25'20).Venture Global said that the new project will include 18 liquefaction trains,each with a nameplate capacity of approximately 1.1 million tons per year(0.16 Bcf/d).
