Japex Sells Montney Stake

Japanese Petroleum Exploration(Japex) has agreed to sell its 10% stake in the North Montney joint venture(JV) in British Columbia(BC) to JV operator Petronas for an undisclosed price.Japex,which is 34% Japan state-owned,reports that due to the sale it expects to record a huge loss of C$493 million($408 million) in its fiscal second quarter ending Mar.31,2022.The deal is set to close in June.
