The extended delay in completing the Mountain Valley Pipeline(MVP)is starting to take its toll on other companies as well.NextEra Energy posted a $5 million loss in the fourth quarter after being forced to take a $1.2 billion charge on its investment in MVP.The renewable energy giant attributed its write-down to legal and regulatory challenges,saying the 2 Bcf/d capacity project is facing"substantial delays in reaching commercial operation and increased costs associated with those delays."
