Chile: Acid imports decline 9% for Jan-May

Chile's sulphuric acid imports for January-May 2021 declined 9% year on year to 1.15 Mt. Still, May imports of 308,582 t represented the highest monthly volume since April 2020. Peru remained the largest origin with 520,435 t over the five months, up 4% year on year. Imports from South Korea declined 39% year on year to 214,801 t, with Japan down 11% at 120,374 t.
