US S. Plains: Urea postings move up to replacement costs

Postings for granular urea from terminals along the Arkansas River have moved as high as $425/st FOB, a $25/st increase from last week's peak of $400/st FOB from the same locations. The drivers for higher prices include retailers returning for urea thanks to renewed application work this week, although growers' focus includes other nutrients. Replacement costs out of the barge market include offers at $400/st FOB, which would require a resale price no lower than $425/st FOB in much of the Southern Plains.
