Spot prices for sulphur exports from the Middle East were assessed down at $170-175/t FOB from $175-180/t on an indicative basis, with higher prices no longer deemed achievable on spot sales. As previously reports, Muntajat's latest monthly sales tender, which closed 13 July, was heard awarded around $175/t FOB. This suggests that this is the highest price buyers would be willing to pay, and most traders felt that this price was still too high for the current market.
