US Midwest: UAN prices increase $35/st

UAN prices in the Midwest strongly increased this week to $7.03-7.34/unit FOB. This reflects an average price rise of $1.09/unit week on week and $2.11/unit since the beginning of the year. UAN was supported by strong expected demand for the upcoming US spring application season, coupled with supply issues at the Iowa Fertilizer Co./OCI nitrogen operation at Wever, Iowa. Truck loading from the plant was halted January 20, which is expected to start loading trucks early next month.
