India: Buyers bid higher but fail to buy

Buyers are showing more interest in ammonia and are bidding higher numbers, with suppliers this week reporting that PPL was showing interest at up to $460/t CFR. Unfortunately for buyers, ammonia prices continue to escalate and the latest FOB netback achieved in Saudi Arabia would land in Paradip at $485/t CFR. PPL now says that it has failed to find tonnes even at $500/t CFR.
