India: Speculation over MMTC tender timing mounts

Expectations for issuance of an MMTC import tender for an unspecified quantity of prilled/granular have been pushed back to next week at the earliest. This follows a fresh lockdown in New Delhi due to Covid-19 implemented from 22:00 local time 19 April through to 05:00 on 26 April which includes the closure of the MMTC office. Once issued, CRU forecasts MMTC will target purchases of 1.5-1.7 Mt, obviously dependent on offers.
