Borealis to sell nitrogen business

Borealis will sell its nitrogen business, including fertilizer, technical nitrogen and melamine products, the producer said in a company statement February 4. The producer’s stake in Rosier’s plants in the Netherlands and Belgium is not currently being considered in the potential sales process, the statement said. Borealis, 75% owned by the Austrian oil and gas company OMV, will continue to focus on higher value chemical products, which it considers to be its core activities.
