QP makes it two ‘long-term’ SPAs in a week after concluding deal with PSO

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has concluded a second “long-term” sales and purchase agreement (SPA) this week, after announcing on Friday that it has signed a 10-year supply agreement with Pakistan State Oil (PSO) for up to 3 mtpa, starting in 2022. The SPA marks the second between QP and PSO and raises the total of long-term LNG supplies from Qatar to Pakistan to 6.75 mtpa. The latest SPA comes five years after QP and PSO signed a 15-year supply deal for 3.75 mtpa, with the latest deal also running until the end of 2031.
