Horisont, Equinor agree to advance Barents CCS project, target blue ammonia in 2025

Norwegian carbontech start-up Horisont Energi and compatriot Equinor have signed a joint development agreement, under which the pair have agreed to “further mature” the Polaris carbon capture and storage (CCS) project offshore northern Norway. Polaris is a key part of the Barents Blue ammonia project, which the pair are jointly developing, with the Norwegian duo expecting the plant to come online in 2025.
