Coke: China’s US coke imports hit 7-year high

China’s green petroleum coke shipments from the US were up by more than 150pc in March from a year earlier, the highest monthly total from the country since July 2013. Imports from the US hit 735,500t last month. This was not only a substantial increase from the same month last year, but also more than double the volume in March 2018 and 50pc higher than March 2017, the most recent years before the world’s two biggest economies began a trade war.
