P66 to market Chevron El Segundo coke

US independent refiner Phillips 66 will begin marketing petroleum coke for US major Chevron's 275,000 b/d refinery in El Segundo, California, starting on 1 April. US coke trader Koch Carbon will blend approximately 1.1mn t/yr of El Segundo coke with 900,000t/yr of coke from the Carson plant of Phillips 66's 139,000 b/d Los Angeles complex at its KCBX terminal at the Port of Long Beach. Koch will also handle freight for the coke. These volumes assume full coker utilization at these refineries, according to Argus Consulting estimates.
