Refinery Operations Update

Repairs were still underway late last week to prepare to restart “some select units” at Shell’s 340,000 b/d joint venture refinery in Deer Park, Texas. The company said equipment repairs continued following below-freezing conditions and power and natural gas curtailments that in mid-February disrupted more than 5mn b/d of Texas refining capacity. Shell has not commented on the extent of damage or when it would plan to restart the refinery.
