US calcined coke exports slip despite demand

US calcined petroleum coke exports fell by 5pc to 2.66mn t in 2020, even as demand was relatively strong. Lower availability of acceptable quality green coke likely played a role in the decline, as demand for US calcined coke was frm from the start of the year. The midpoint of the Argus 3pc sulphur fob US Gulf calcined coke price rose by almost 20pc from January to December.
