Pertamina Loses Refinery Partner

Indonesia's Pertamina has lost one of the two potential partners that had expressed interest in the Balikpapan refinery expansion and modernization project. The state-owned company did not say which of the two partners, Mubadala or GIC, pulled out. The two-phase project consists of increasing the capacity of the Balikpapan refinery from 260,000 b/d to 360,000 b/d. The phases are expected to be completed in 2023 and 2026.
