Panel Issues Ethanol Blending Advice

A panel of experts has recommended that India should start rolling out a gasoline blend containing 20% ethanol from April 2023 to meet its target or increasing sales of "greener" gasoline by April 2025. The government-appointed committee included members from the Niti Aayog think tank headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, oil ministry officials and executives from state-owned refining companies (IOD Jan.13'21).
