摘要

India's Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) has set up a gas subsidiary and bought a stake in India's first gas exchange as it expects natural gas to increase its share from 6% to 15% of the country's energy mix by 2030. "Both these things gel well with the government's ambition to transition to a gas-based economy," Subhash Kumar, ONGC finance director, told analysts on a conference call. "Uhe] prime minister has shown his ambition and has asked different bodies to come up with [an] action plan and to see that gas' share in the economy increases from current 6% to 15% (by 2030)."
