Asia butyl acetate markets surge to fresh highs on tight supply

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asia butyl acetate (butac) markets are increasingly bullish on the back of a supply shortfall, which is expected to persist for days ahead. In the week ending 26 February, spot deals were negotiated at sharply higher levels, with regional producers allocating smaller-than-usual quantities because of tight supply.
