China 2021 propane demand to rise by 1.85mtonnes from start-ups

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's propane demand in 2021 is expected to grow by 1.85m tonnes, with thescheduled start-up of two new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) units and a propane-based crackerwith a combined 1.92m tonne/year capacity in the first half of the year. The additional demand is equivalent to 12% of China's total propane imports in 2020 or 9% of thetotal projected imports for 2021, according to ICIS estimation.
