1.Gulf coast prices rose to multi-year highs on higher crude prices and renewable credits known as renewable identification numbers(Rins).2.Higher outright prices in the Gulf coast followed gains in Rins-inclusive Nymex futures.The rise in the Rins values,and the aggregate known as the Renewable Volume Obligation(RVO),reflects heightened uncertainty over the possibility of relief from the Renewable Fuel Standard programme.The RVO has been highly volatile in the past two weeks(see graph).
