Stocks post biggest gain in 10 months

Onshore stocks of crude and products in the US, EU-16 and Japan increased by 3.3mn bl in July compared with the previous month. The increase, the largest since September 2020, was in step with a recent trend of crude stocks declining and product stocks increasing. Total crude stocks dropped by 7.2mn bl in July, while product stocks increased by 10.4mn bl. Total stocks remained below the fve-year average after dropping below last month for the frst time since the onset of the pandemic, reaching the widest defcit since August 2018.
