European refinery maintenance stretches into summer

Europe's spring refinery maintenance season should be over by now,but some plants are taking the opportunity to complete long or otherwise unusual programmes before lockdowns fully lift later this year.Slovakia's Slovnaft has started its second turnaround of the year at its 120,000 b/d Bratislava refinery,ExxonMobil's 270,000 b/d Fawley refinery in the UK entered a nine-week turnaround at the end of May,its second of the year,while BP's 265,000 b/d Gelsenkirchen refinery in west Germany started a partial turnaround in mid-May.
