Gasoline, diesel hit 10-month highs

Gasoline and diesel prices frmed to 10-month highs but refning margins eased as demand for both road fuels dipped signifcantly. Gulf coast Colonial pipeline conventional gasoline and ultra-low sulphur diesel values rose to their highest since early March at $1.44/USG and $1.48/USG. US implied diesel demand fell by 18pc on the week to 2.9mn b/d in the week to 1 January, EIA fgures show. Implied gasoline demand fell by 8.4pc on the week to 7.4mn b/d and gasoline exports fell by 3.1pc to about 880,000 b/d.
