"Bathed in light" is the best way to describe Tuscany. Central Italy evokes nonstop sunshine - pouring over the landscape, glistening on the waxy green surface of citrus trees. The heat of the sun causes the volatile oils of herbs to exude from the leaf surface and perfume the air. The pointed columnar forms of Cedars dot the landscape and cast long blue shadows.
