Aramco signs 22 MOUs, ramps up industrial growth program

Saudi Aramco has signed 22 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) as part of a major expansion of its industrial investment program, Aramco Namaat, which is focused on building domestic capacities in the sustainability, technology, advanced materials, and industrial and energy services sectors. Agreements were signed with companies including Solvay, Air Liquide, Linde, and Shell. Aramco says the MOU with Solvay will focus on the development of advanced nonmetallic materials and localization of a composite value chain. Three MOUs to evaluate carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) opportunities and potential partnerships were signed with Air Liquide and Halliburton; Linde and Schlumberger; and Baker Hughes, all with the participation of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
