Chemours to explore sale of cyanides business

Chemours said yesterday that it is exploring a sale of its cyanides business, called mining solutions. The business is a major producer of solid sodium cyanide, which is used in the extraction process for gold and silver from mined ores, as well as hydrogen cyanide. It is part of Chemours’ chemical solutions reporting segment.
