LG Chem JV to build HVO plant at Daesan for ABS, PVC, SAP

LG Chem (Seoul, South Korea) says it will partner with biodiesel producer Dansuk Industrial to build a hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) plant at its Daesan chemicals complex that will supply eco- friendly raw materials for the manufacture of products including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), and bio–superabsorbent polymers (bio-SAP).
