Three days after Hurricane Ida hit southeastern Louisiana, the storm’s impact on petrochemical production has become slightly clearer. With power largely restored and damage relatively modest in Baton Rouge, chemical production there is likely to recover soonest, while facilities located further south and east in towns such as Taft, Plaquemine, and Geismar could take much longer.
