Perstorp to increase 2-ethylhexanoic acid capacity

Perstorp says it is investing to expand “substantially” its plants’ production capacity for 2-ethylhexanoic acid (2-EHA) from 2022 to meet increasing market needs. Further details have not been disclosed. “As industries are recovering and adjusting to the ongoing pandemic, demand for 2-EHA has increased signifcantly in the past two quarters,” says Betty Lu, vice president/business management Oxo at Perstorp.
