Eight new M&A transactions were announced during the week ended 22 March, the same fgure as during the week prior. Year- to-date (YTD), a busy few weeks has led volumes and values to pull ahead of 2020 levels, which seems likely to continue as the COVID-19 trough for M&A occurred in April and May of last year.
