Petrobras eyes sale of stake in Deten Quimica facility in Brazil

Petrobras (Rio de Janeiro) has started the process for a potential sale of its stake in the Deten Quimica petrochemicals complex in Camacari, Bahia State, Brazil. A proposed fnancial value for the 27.88% equity shareholding in the facility has not been disclosed. The Deten Quimica facility, majority owned by Cepsa (Madrid, Spain) with a 72% stake, is Brazil’s sole producer of linear alkylbenzene (LAB), the main raw material for the production of liquid and powder biodegradable detergents.
