India’s state-owned Petronet LNG to foray into petrochemical business

Petronet LNG Ltd. (Delhi, India) is planning to set up a petrochemical complex in Dahej, India. The company says it is embarking “upon a major diversifcation drive to broad base its business activity and is exploring to have an ethane and propane import facility at Dahej terminal.” The planned complex will consume imported propane as feedstock, it says. Petronet did not disclose investment details for the proposed complex or the petchem products it intends to manufacture.
