Bridgestone, Arlanxeo and Solvay launch technology platform to make tyres strong and eco-friendly

Tyre maker, Bridgestone, along with synthetic rubber producer, Arlanxeo, and Belgian chemicals firm and leading supplier of highly dispersible silica (HDS), Solvay, have announced the launch of Techsyn, a new, co-developed tyre technology platform enabling tyres to deliver unrivalled strength and environmental performance. Techsyn combines chemically optimised synthetic rubber with tailormade silica, interacting at a molecular level, to deliver outstanding performance with no trade-offs. The partnership combines Solvay's advanced silica developments, Arlanxeo's expertise in developing, manufacturing and delivering novel tyre polymers and Bridgestone's innovative compound technology.
