Preface: changing climate changing public health.

摘要

A consensus now exists that climate change is not only real but occurring more rapidly than previously thought. Understanding the likely effects of these changes on health is emerging as a front-burner research issue. However, this type of research needs cross-disciplinary teams with broad expertise. Pursuing the direct and indirect effects of climate change on health requires public health researchers to venture into other sectors because climate change will affect energy use, economic development, housing, transportation, agriculture, and water conservation.
