Background Current literature indicates that direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) are cost-effective to treat compensated cirrhotic patients with hepatitis C. Although already funded by public payers, it is unknown whether it is economical to reimburse DAAs within the more advanced decompensated cirrhosis population.
