This report covers important developments in the chemistry of the Group 15 elements that were published during 2001.The limitations on space prevent any attempt to make the report comprehensive,and as before the emphasis has been placed on molecular species.Although nitrogen and phosphorus compounds continue to be used extensively as ligands,only transformations of the ligands themselves are included here.The summaries of each piece of work cited are intentionally concise in order to maximise the range of chemistry described.
