A Novel CuO Flower Like Nanomaterials and Its Fault Detection Performance in Power Cable

In this paper, a new type of copper oxide (CuO) nanoflowers was prepared by a simple hydrothermal method. The microstructure of CuO nanoflowers was characterized in detail by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that CuO nanoflowers were composed of CuO nanosheets and CuO nanoparticles attached to them in disorder, and the overall diameter was about 1.5-2.5 mu m. On this basis, a possible growth mechanism of CuO nano-flowers was proposed. The gas sensing properties of CuO nanoflowers to ethylene gas were studied. CuO nano-flowers have a great response to ethylene gas.
