HR product price to rise in next few months

In February, flat product prices continued to move up worldwide. Prices for Russian HR flats have risen by about $120/t to $800/t FOB Black Sea. Quotations of Chinese HR sheets of SS400 grade have grown by $90/t to $780/t FOB. Global demand for flats will remain rather firm till Q2. In SE Asia, the end of the New Year holidays will bring an upturn in demand for imported HR sheets both from traders and end-users. This will be furthered by favourable conditions in construction and machine-building industries.
