In March, a rally replaced the moderate growth of prices worldwide:flat product prices added $60-110/t, those for rebar . $140-180/t,semis quotations went up by $100-130/t from late February. Such alarge increase is attributable to the rise in production costs: steelmakerssell April and May production at higher prices making up for the advancein coal and iron ore prices under long-term contracts effective fromApril 1 (up 55% and 90%, respectively).
