China’s Chengdu Changfeng Steel Group advances its project for the new equipment installation at the third site in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. Primetals Technologies supplies a 100-tonne EAF Quantum (1 million tpy) to melt scrap of different composition and quality and a 120-tonne twin ladle furnace at the third site. The plant-builder also supplies a 6-strand billet CCM (970,000 tpy) and a 946,700 tpy bar mill. The equipment commissioning is scheduled for June 2021, a company’s insider told Metal Expert.
